Asparagus & Prosciutto, ah what a great combination!

I found this recipe on, although I changed a few items. (The original recipe asked for Pine Nuts which I didn't use and I also didn't use the entire 1/4 cup of butter that the recipe asked for).

Asparagus with Prosciutto and Walnuts

2 Tbsps. unsalted butter
3 to 4 oz. thinly sliced prosciutto
2-3 garlic cloves
1/2 cup diced walnuts
*A good squeeze of lemon juice
2 pounds fresh asparagus

You can start by bringing a pot of water to boil for your asparagus.  Once your water boils, then
add asparagus.  For thinner asparagus, cook approximately 3 minutes, if you have thicker asparagus, cook for no more than 5 minutes.

In the meantime, melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add minced garlic cloves sauteing in the butter for about a minute, then add walnuts and prosciutto and turn the mixture for 2-3 minutes.  Finally, add the asparagus and toss with the Prosciutto mixture.  You can season to taste with salt, pepper and a good squeeze of lemon.
