How to Create a Healthy Community

The importance of community involvement in the rising concern over huge health care costs is a crucial step in order to start seeing a positive change in overall improvement of health and minimizing obesity.  This may take some time as there is a segment of the population that is resistant to change -- change is difficult in any scenerio.  There are still many people who simply don't like to exercise, fast-food eaters that are addicted to eating fast food and also those who simply say they don't have the time to prepare meals.  Excuses won't make positive changes and help people lose weight, only action will.  The Wall Street Journal had this very informative article entitled, "The Mayor Wants You to Lose Weight".  The bottom line is there has to be a fundamental change to make a lasting difference in overall health improvement.
