10 Tips for a Thinner Thanksgiving

As the famous Thanksgiving Day is upon us, there are some helpful tips to follow in keeping in line with our diet. Certainly this doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy the bounty of what is Thanksgiving, and I won't say that I don't enjoy this day too, after all, there are splendid foods that are in store for us. 
Trying something new like becoming more aware of every bite we eat can be a tricky task at times, but as you are socializing with friends and family "get lost" in great conversation instead of "getting lost" in food. Thanksgiving is about being thankful -- so be thankful for each bite you take. Start by having a nutritious meal with some good protein and plenty of fiber on the big day so you won't be tempted to snack throughout the day -- especially if you are cooking!  Eat a little of everything, just watch your portions, oh and one last thing, don't forget to get some exercise in before and after the big day. Remember that there are consequences to everything we do and that includes everything we eat. So, the day after Thanksgiving, when you step on the scale, you may be pleasantly surprised and wouldn't that be something to be thankful for!!
